The people behind the memories

Josh & Jamie

Josh was pretty much born with a fishing pole in his hand. Jamie came from a career in law enforcement and became a guide after the two met. Together, the husband-and-wife team built a life around fishing and helping others enjoy it.

Mountain Fork Outfitters

Hochatown, Oklahoma

Where the story began.

Their journey began in Hochatown, Oklahoma, with Mountain Fork Outfitters. For four years, it was Oklahoma’s top-rated trout fishing guide service, welcoming families, first-time anglers, and experienced fishermen. Teaching someone to cast, helping a child land a trout, and sharing in a family’s excitement became the most rewarding parts of their work.

Those years shaped their approach to guiding: patience, personal attention, and making people feel comfortable regardless of their experience.

Patience. Personal attention.
Time together.

Gulf Shores Guides

Alabama’s Gulf Coast

A little saltwater.
A whole new chapter.

When Josh and Jamie became empty nesters, they took the opportunity to explore. Their travels brought them to Alabama’s Gulf Coast, where they built Gulf Shores Guides, offering land-based fishing adventures in the Gulf Shores and Orange Beach area. Trout streams gave way to sandy beaches, surf fishing, and sharks. The setting changed, but their love of sharing fishing with families stayed with them.

Branson Trout Co.

Branson, Missouri

Back to trout.
Closer to home.

Branson Trout Co. marks their return to freshwater and a move closer to family. With an eye toward putting down roots and eventually retiring in Missouri, Josh and Jamie are bringing their guiding experience to Lake Taneycomo.

Through guided trout trips and fishing lessons, they’re continuing the work they’ve enjoyed throughout their journey: helping people learn, gain confidence, and spend meaningful time together outdoors. Beginners are welcome, questions are encouraged, and families have a place on the water.

From Mountain Fork to the Gulf Coast and now the Ozarks, Josh and Jamie have gathered plenty of stories. Branson Trout Co. is where the next chapter begins.
